Description
St. Joseph had a fall. When he was brought to me he had a bend in the large armature wire in his neck and all of the plaster around his neck and extending nearly up to the chin was broken. He was missing his right forefinger.
My husband and I wrestled the armature wire back into place and then I plastered his neck until it was solid again. Once the plaster had dried, I carved it to suit the rest of the figure.
In this case you can see the restored neck and right forefinger. I am using gouache over the plaster with success; metallic highlights will be added in acrylic when I'm finished.

Absolutely amazing. I'm looking hard, and I can't see the damage.
