Phoenix Rising

After much advice from the ghost of my late father, who ended up yelling "you don't have to paint every damned feather on the bird!!" (remember, this was one of his axioms), I finally got the feathers to look like feathers by not painting them as feathers. What you can't see is the really cool metallic and duochrome paints by Dan Smith Watercolors: this is one of the things that makes owning an original especially cool!
